Hot Reactions to the $70 Million Bitcoin Heist

A company that bills itself as the "Largest Crypto-Mining Marketplace" has itself been mined by hackers.

Or so it claims.

NiceHash told several media outlets that approximately 4,700 Bitcoin, worth about $70 million as this story is posted, were taken from its digital wallet.

The company announced news of a problem on its Facebook page using its smiling icon with Bitcoinesque eyes:

As you can imagine, NiceHash users had a range of responses: some suggested killing the hackers, others said it must be an inside job, and a few suggested they'd do the same thing if they could get away with it:

The whole incident continues to point to at least one thing: cryptocurrencies and the efforts to make money off them continue to grow.
