Cybersecurity can be pretty technical with its hardware and software applications. And at the same time, it can have a "policy-driven" side, filled with pages and pages of rules, regulations and procedures.

Combining the two worlds is necessary, but it's not always an easy thing to do.

The solution?  Bring in the security architect.

"A security architect, in my opinion, is the one that makes a difference between a real security program and a paper-based one," said Manoj Tripathi, a security architect.

A lot of companies run paper-based programs, Tripathi said. But most of those programs need an architect who can bring those ideas and procedures to life.

In this interview with SecureWorld Media, Tripathi explains why this role is critical for your organization.
