Will You Help? The Cybersecurity Wall of Gratitude

Written by SecureWorld News Team | Wed | Apr 1, 2020 | 6:03 AM Z

We'd like to ask for your help at this unique moment in history.

This is a time when little things make a big difference. Things like calling a coworker just to say hi, texting a friend a funny meme, or putting a sign in the window, greeting neighbors sheltering at home.

And we have another idea.

Introducing the Cybersecurity Wall of Gratitude

We are thankful for the many cybersecurity professionals who continue to protect organizations in the midst of a changing, and very challenging, landscape.

And we are reminded of something we heard on a recent SecureWorld podcast episode:

"I think in the industry, we're all standing on the shoulders of people who have developed things, who've learned and shared, and have allowed us to grow personally and professionally."

This seems like a perfect time for you to express your appreciation to someone in cybersecurity because of how much it can lift them up at this challenging time.

That's why we're creating the Cybersecurity Wall of Gratitude. And we need your help.

How do I participate in the Wall of Gratitude?

Here's how we are starting.

Please go to the comments section of this post and type in your compliment or words of thanks to those in the cybersecurity industry, your particular team, a security mentor, or whomever you would like to honor.

We have gated comments, so hit submit and we will approve your addition to the Wall of Gratitude as quickly as possible.

Our goal: to make this into a huge printed banner full of thanks for the work of the cybersecurity community.

At that point, it truly will become a "wall of gratitude," and we'll use it to encourage security professionals around North America.

Will you help? If so, please submit your comments below.
