Confessions happen through a wormhole, a miracle is a "digitally scarce artifact airdropped to location," and a pilgrimage is "proof of travel from current location to a holy site appointed by a semi-random process."
Say what?
Welcome to the world of 0xOmega, the new religion being built on
The religion's mascot is a narwhal called Dogewhal:
And the tenets of the blockchain religion include a rapid and fluid consensus over what members believe and how donated cryptocurrency should be spent:
Matt Liston, the religion's architect, is the former CEO of Augur who is now suing that company for more than $150 million and building the new religion at the same time. This religion is built on the Ethereum blockchain.
And yes, mining for cryptocurrency is apparently a religious experience in 0xOmega.
"The act of mining crypto is a ritual sacrifice of time in order to strengthen belief in a consensus network," says Liston.
Is that really true?
Maybe we'll have to ask the @0xOmega Ethereum blockchain for the answer.
