When it comes to this year's WannaCry ransomware that spread around the globe, North Korea says we better keep looking for who did it.
The nation-state that reportedly has an army of thousands of cyber warriors says it is not responsible for WannaCry.
North Korea's recent cybercrime efforts include hacking US-South Korea war strategies and targeting the U.S. power grid.
A government official told the state-run Korean Central News Agency this week, "This is an act beyond the limit of our tolerance and it makes us question the real purpose behind the UK's move."
"The moves of the UK government to doggedly associate the DPRK with the cyber attack cannot be interpreted in any other way than a wicked attempt to lure the international community into harboring greater mistrust of the DPRK," the spokesman said, using the initials of the North's official name."
The truth is, there have also been fingers pointed at China. "WannaCry cyber hackers linked to China, not North Korea," is an interesting read. But so is the most recent information that North Korea created WannaCry, according to UK Security Minister Ben Wallace.
His comments are what lead to North Korea's statement that it had nothing to do with this ransomware attack.
