We've heard repeatedly from our SecureWorld Advisory Council members how challenging hiring good talent is right now.

Adding to that challenge? What seems to be a revolving door of talent walking out of your building for other opportunities.

Spiceworks just released its latest IT professionals job analysis and found that trend will continue in 2018, with one out of every three IT pros saying they'll move along to greener pastures.

IT professionals: show me the money, and the love

"In our survey, we also asked IT pros why they plan to search for or take a new job. Seventy-five percent of IT pros are seeking new employment to earn more money," says Spiceworks.

"Coming in a close second place, 70 percent said they’re looking to advance their skills. Other reasons for leaving include finding a company that makes IT more of a priority (39 percent); seeking an employer that offers a better work-life balance (38 percent), and working with a more talented IT team (33 percent)."

The complete IT employee job report summary breaks out generational details between your Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, and Millennials. They view things differently, as you might imagine.

But there is one thing they all seem to agree on: it's time for a raise!
