It's been a rough couple of weeks for politicians when it comes to cyber-crime, and things do not appear to be looking up.

*The Russian hackers believed to be behind the breach of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) also infiltrated the Clinton Foundation, [Bloomberg](http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-06-21/clinton-foundation-said-to-be-breached-by-russian-hackers) reported Tuesday.*

*The breach was discovered by government investigators as recently as last week, the report said. A spokesperson for the foundation told Bloomberg it has not seen any sign its network had been compromised. The Hill was not able to immediately verify the breach. *

*The report comes as presumptive Democratic presidential nominee [Hillary Clinton](http://thehill.com/people/hillary-clinton) continues to combat allegations that her use of a private email server as secretary of State exposed sensitive information to hackers.*

*Prior to the [DNC's disclosure of the breach](http://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurity/283500-theft-of-trump-files-raises-eyebrows) last week, U.S. officials informed both political parties as well as the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton, [Donald Trump](http://thehill.com/people/donald-trump) and [Bernie Sanders](http://thehill.com/people/bernie-sanders) that hackers were targeting their networks, a person familiar with the government investigation told Bloomberg.*
