This case of revenge porn is reason #212 that compromising photos and videos should be treated like an organization's crown jewels—with the highest degree of security.

Police in Memphis, Tennessee, charged 21-year-old Dexstiny Jordan after she allegedly hacked another woman's Facebook page and then downloaded sexually explicit videos of the victim from the victim's Facebook inbox.

ABC Local24 Memphis describes how the revenge porn hack played out:

She hacked into the victim's account and posted personal, intimate and sexually explicit pictures and videos of the victim that were seen by her mother, father, family, and friends.

According to a police affidavit, the suspect also locked the victim out of the victim's own Facebook page.

When the victim recovered the account, she discovered it had been taken over by a phone number belonging to Dexstiny Jordan.

Jordan faces harassment and unlawful exposure charges in this case. And the entire thing is a reminder that cybersecurity is relevant to everyone.
