Siri Interrupts House of Commons Terror Update

That Siri... she's always listening. And then, speaking.

The UK's Defense Minister Gavin Williamson was briefing the House of Commons about efforts to combat the Islamic State when, according to The Telegraph, he mentioned Syria three times in a row, which woke up Siri. And this is what happened next:

“I have found something on the web with reference to Syria, democratic forces supported by,” Siri said over the House of Commons speakers.

Mr. Williamson said: “It is an intervention”—referring to the practice when MPs are allowed to make comments during a fellow MP’s speech—adding: “But I do apologise for that. It is very rare that you are heckled by your own mobile phone. On this occasion it is a new Parliamentary convention, without a doubt."

This certainly makes us wonder about privacy and whether we have any of it when our devices are around.
