Speaking Out: The Academic that Mined Facebook Data for Cambridge Analytica

He's the data scientist who was the crucial link between Facebook and Cambridge Analytica.

Aleksandr Kogan told 60 Minutes this week that, "Tens of thousands of developers did what we did. It was a feature [of Facebook] not a bug."

He says he's being made out as a rogue developer because Facebook got caught not prioritizing user privacy. And he points out that his partner on that research project is currently employed by Facebook.

He also questions how sincere Mark Zuckerberg's recent apology to Congress was. Playing the humble card was one of the 5 key things Zuckerberg did on Capitol Hill.
