We've seen a lot of predictions about 2018 and cybersecurity.

A lot of predictions.

Most have been around technology. And there are very exciting things happening there, for sure.

However, many of the InfoSec leaders we've talked to at our SecureWorld cybersecurity conferences are just as excited about the changing role of security leaders that is appearing across industries.

Milinda Rambel Stone is the Senior Director of Global Security at SPS Commerce (and a SecureWorld Advisory Council member) in Minneapolis.

She came to the company in 2014 to build its security program, and she summarizes (in 45 seconds, no less) what we've been hearing from so many industry leaders about why this is a great time to be in InfoSec.

Do you agree with this sentiment?

While you think about that, check out our interview with Dr. Larry Ponemon of the Ponemon Institute about "5 Changes Happening Now" for leaders in InfoSec.

It's now safe to stop predicting that 2018 will be an exciting year in cybersecurity because it sounds like it already is.
