Children's internet safety is a hot topic in our digital age.
So what is the best advice to keep your kids safe while they are online?
We interviewed Kip Boyle about this at SecureWorld Seattle, and his point of view can help protect families, so we are sharing it.
Boyle runs a cybersecurity consulting organization by day, but on nights and weekends he is often speaking to schools, PTOs, and other groups about top ways to protect kids when they're on phones, tablets, and laptops surfing the web.
Watch this video interview about his top internet safety tip—any family can make this one happen:
“Parents should really be thinking like an executive in their home. They should be thinking: I’ve got digital assets, and I also want to protect my family. One of the things that means is that parents need to be deeply involved with what their kids are doing online."
Research backs him up on this idea.
And we think tips on protecting kids from online predators and other internet threats is a great way to finish the first week of National Cyber Security Awareness Month. #CyberAware
