We all know that news happens on Twitter.
In this case, it was Elon Musk revealing the first tunnel dig his The Boring Company has undertaken, under SpaceX headquarters in Southern California.
From a layman's point of view, it looks similar to underground light rail or subway tunnels many of us have been through.
But this is actually a key piece of Musk's hyperloop idea because he believes The Boring Company will be able to dig tunnels faster and cheaper than current methods can.
His company has also received permission to start tunnel work in Maryland for a potential hyperloop.
