It's been hard to miss the news that the iPhone X is the highest price phone Apple's ever created, with a list price of $999 and up.

That didn't stop the iPhone X from selling out in major cities over the weekend.

Now comes evidence that the phone's use of glass for both the front and back of the device could cost you big-time, after a single drop. A single drop from a variety of angles. Check out the damage in this video.

Extended warranty company SquareTrade created the video and says, "Despite Apple's claims that their glass is the most durable ever in a smartphone, the iPhone X is the most breakable iPhone we've ever tested. The iPhone X's fragility, along with Apple's $549 fee for most repairs, make it the definition of a high-risk phone."

It also calls the iPhone X, "The most breakable, highest-priced, most expensive to repair iPhone, ever." Wow, there are a lot of superlatives in that sentence. Superlatives we don't remember hearing at launch.

SquareTrade, of course, wants to sell you an extended repair warranty for the phone. But its tests did find the iPhone X did well in two tests: dunkability in liquid and bendability.

So if you are losing control of your iPhone during breakfast, you are apparently better off dropping it in your cereal than missing the bowl and having it fall to the floor.

Just a little something to keep in mind.
