Clearly, some people are short on empathy for those going through a tragedy.

That must be the case for the hacker who took over a YouTube manager's account after yesterday's shooting at YouTube headquarters.

Who would do something like this?

Vadim Lavrusik's account was the first one quoted by media around the world after he tweeted, "Active shooter at YouTube HQ."

A short time later, his account was taken over by a hacker who started posting tweets.

According to CNET:

At about 2:10 p.m., after Lavrusik tweeted that he was safe and evacuated, a new tweet came up from the account, writing, "PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY FRIEND I LOST HIM IN THE SHOOTING," with a Flipboard URL linking to a photo of KEEMSTAR, a YouTube personality. Three minutes after that tweet, another post came in saying, "my name is so gay honestly."

Vadim's account was restored a short time later, and the above impostor tweets, and many others from his account, were deleted.

What do you think would be fair punishment for the hacker who took advantage of this tragedy?
