I specialize in establishing and scaling security and IT functions inside fast-growing, global companies. Whether it’s standing up a SOC 2 compliance program, integrating security practices across Engineering, HR, Legal, Product, and Sales, or supporting a fully remote, distributed workforce, I thrive in environments where there’s no playbook yet.
One milestone I’m especially proud of is leading an organization to become one of the first 350 companies globally to achieve ISO 42001 certification. It was a real reflection of our team’s commitment to responsible AI management at a time when most organizations were still figuring out what that even meant.
Sameera Kelkar is a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Doppel, where she focuses on customer advocacy, awareness, and impact related to the company's Human Risk Management solution. Her professional background includes leading marketing at an early-stage startup and spending four years in customer and product marketing at Okta. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and French Language from the George Washington University. Outside of work, her personal interests include reading, cooking, practicing yoga, and exploring new cities.
Carrie Jabs, MS, MBA, is a cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) leader with 25+ years of experience helping organizations strengthen security, manage risk, and meet complex regulatory requirements. She specializes in building scalable programs aligned with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and CIS Controls.
At Permiso Security, Carrie serves as a Strategic Advisor supporting Customer Success and Security Operations, including SOC 2 readiness, policy development, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and framework mapping. Her career includes roles at Blue Lava, VMware, Walmart eCommerce, Visa, Wells Fargo Merchant Services, and Symantec, where she has advanced audit readiness, security maturity, compliance operations, and customer trust.
Tom has been part of the SecureWorld team for over 14 years. He has launched several of the regional conferences we hold today. Tom is currently responsible for SecureWorld Digital, which provides educational content to the SecureWorld audience. He produces, executes, and moderates the majority of the Remote Sessions webcasts while also working closely with the SecureWorld event directors to build relevant agendas at the regional conferences.
